How do I "go out" to end the hand?

"Going out" is the action of playing your final cards to end the current hand so that scores can be calculated. In Canasta Junction, the app will assist you by making a "Go Out" option available when you meet the necessary conditions.

Conditions to Go Out: The app will only allow you to go out if your team has met two key conditions:

1. Your team must have at least two completed canastas.
2. You must be able to play (meld) all cards from your hand, leaving just one final card to discard.
3. Your team cannot have an incomplete canasta of Aces, 7s, or wild cards.

How to Go Out in the App: When it is your turn and all conditions are met, you can meld your cards, and the app will present an option to "Go Out" with your final discard. Your team will earn a 100-point bonus for going out.

Asking Your Partner for Permission If you are unsure whether to go out, you can ask your partner. The app provides a button for this.

• You must ask for permission right after you draw a card, but

  before you meld any other cards.

• Your partner will have the option to reply "Yes" or "No". If they say no, you cannot go out on that turn.

App Conveniences

• The app automatically tracks your team's canastas.
• The number of cards in each player's hand is always visible, so you don't need to announce when you are low on cards.
