Managing Your Account (Creating an Account, Recovering Credentials, and Changing Your Username)

This section covers everything you need to know about managing your Canasta Junction (CJ) account.

Creating Your Account To play a live game, you must first create a CJ account. New players need to register with a unique Username, a Password, and an Email Address.

Important: All fields, including your email address, are case-sensitive. Avoid using spaces or special characters in these fields. Returning players can simply log in with their existing Username and Password.

Recovering a Forgotten Username or Password If you've forgotten your login details, follow these steps:

1. On the login screen, click on "Forgot Password?".
2. Enter the email address you used to create your account. Remember that the email is case-sensitive.
3. You will receive an email from Canasta Junction with your username listed and a link to reset your password. If you only forgot your username, you can now log in without resetting your password.
4. If you see an "Error Occurred" message, it means the email was not found in our database. Please try a different email address or check for case-sensitivity variations (e.g., all lowercase, or with the first letter capitalized) .

Changing Your Username: Usernames can only be changed for significant security reasons. If you believe you have a valid reason, please contact support. You will need to provide the email address associated with your account for verification.
